Synopsis

The engagement, which falls under Wipro’s large deals category (over $30 million in total contract value), involves modernisation of Odido’s digital and enterprise technology. This will be powered by Wipro’s WEGA and WINGS AI delivery platforms, part of Wipro Intelligence, its unified suite of AI-led solutions.

India’s fourth-largest IT player Wipro announced a multi-year engagement with Dutch telecom player Odido Netherlands BV, to overhaul the latter’s IT ecosystem and enhance customer experience across its enterprise and consumer segments. The financials of the deal were not disclosed.

The engagement will be based on a self-funded model, where productivity-driven savings are reinvested to fund new digital initiatives, the company said.

Conversational AI and autonomous operations will also be introduced during the engagement. Under the direction of Designit, Wipro's experience innovation company, a specialised design studio will serve as a hub for rapid innovation, business ideation, and solutioning to deliver transformative experiences, and help Odido accelerate the time to market.

“This transformation is consulting-led, with our teams shaping the roadmap, optimising processes, and aligning technology with business goals,” said Graziella Neuvéglise, managing director, Western Europe, at Wipro.

The engagement builds on the company’s earlier deal with Ericsson in 2024, where both companies helped the Dutch telco migrate nearly five million subscribers to a new billing platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

“At Odido, our goal is to make technology more human. This applies not only to our network services and product innovations, but also to our operations and IT infrastructure. Our collaboration with Wipro supports this ambition,” said Robert Purdy, chief IT officer, Odido.
