Arsenal could receive a significant double suspension boost this weekend - before they even step out at Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta's title-chasing squad will travel to west London after tonight's Champions League group phase clash against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

And by the time they kick-off against the Blues, Brentford will have already faced Burnley as the two sides meet at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

It's significant because the Bees are Arsenal's next opponents in the Premier League and two of Keith Andrews' key players are currently on four yellow cards. Any player that receives five bookings before the conclusion of game-week 19 will be handed a one-match ban.

Attacker Kevin Schade and centre-back Nathan Collins are the two players walking a disciplinary tightrope.

If either star picks up a yellow against the Clarets, they will be ruled out of the meeting with Arsenal next Wednesday at the Emirates Stadium.

Currently, Arsenal do not have any players on four yellow cards, however, Riccardo Calafiori is on three.

Gunners winger Reiss Nelson, who is currently on loan at Brentford, won't be available to face Arteta's side either due to Premier League loan regulations.

The last time the two teams met at the Emirates in April, Arsenal were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw as their Premier League title bid began to die.

Things are much different this time around as the club have made a lightning start in all competitions as they look to challenge on all fronts this term.

Arsenal could make it five wins from five in Europe on Wednesday night when they square off with Vincent Kompany's Bayern.

Both teams have been in pulsating form this season to date and can take a giant step towards a top-eight finish with victory.

Declan Rice is walking a disciplinary tightrope in the Champions League though after picking up two yellow cards.

Fellow midfielder Martin Zubimendi recently missed the 3-0 demolition of Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic after picking up his third yellow in Europe.

If Rice was to receive a booking against Bayern, he would be ruled out of next month's trip to Club Brugge.

Arsenal are expected to welcome back Martin Odegaard to the squad tonight after around two months on the sidelines with a knee injury.

The Norwegian could make the bench while Gabriel Martinelli and Noni Madueke are back in contention to start after they made the bench against Tottenham on Sunday.
