Metro & Rail Development: The Union Cabinet has approved four important projects on a single day to transform the country’s infrastructure. The Modi government has approved four major projects worth Rs 19,919 crore and it is hoped that this will put India on the path of development. Among these Pune Metro 9,858 crore for expansion while Rs.MumbaiFunding has been sanctioned for two new lines on the nearby Badlapur-Karjat route. Also, Rs 7,280 crore for Rare Earth Magnet Scheme, while, GujaratDoubling of Okha-Kanalas route in These projects can significantly reduce travel time, directly benefiting millions of commuters.

Biggest budget for Pune Metro

The Union Cabinet has approved the largest budget for Pune Metro. 9,858 crore has been sanctioned for the expansion of Pune Metro Phase 1, which also includes a new line of 32 km length. This new route will extend from Kharadi to Khadakwasla and Nal Stop to Manik Bagh and will increase Pune’s metro network by over 100 km. This is a pleasant decision for Pune residents to avoid traffic jams.

The Government of India has also approved the Rare Earth Permanent Magnet (REPM) scheme, keeping in mind the future technology. There is a budget of Rs 7,280 crore for this. The main objective is to manufacture high-tech magnets in India, which are used in electric vehicles and mobile phones. Currently, we are dependent on other countries. But, this decision will make India self-reliant.

The central government has also given good news to the devotees in Gujarat. The number of trains to Devbhumi Dwarka has been increased by sanctioning Rs 1,457 crore for the doubling of the Okha to Kanaloos railway line. Due to this 159 km long track, freight trains will run at a faster speed.
