South Africa breaks Australia’s 31 year old record on Indian soil

Playing in the second innings, South Africa took a lead of 548 runs, the largest lead ever taken by any team in the second innings in India. Earlier this record was in the name of Australia, which had taken a lead of 542 runs in the match played in Nagpur in 2004. Thus, South Africa has registered a new record in the name of its team.
