Plantation campaign also started for pollution free Punjab

Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann inaugurated the state level blood donation and tree plantation camps of the state government at Virasat-e-Khalsa today on the occasion of 350th martyrdom day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The Chief Minister said that this plantation drive is the best way to pay homage to the great Guru Sahiban, who gave the eternal message of “Pawan Guru Paani Pita, Mata Dharti Mahat”. Under this campaign, along with protecting the environment, environmental balance can be ensured by planting trees. He said that this campaign is being started as per the commitment of the state government to encourage people to plant more and more trees to make Punjab clean and pollution free by increasing greenery in the district. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that natural resources trees play an important role in improving the environment. He said that now the time has come for people to come forward and plant trees to increase greenery in the district and support the administration to take proper care of them.

The Chief Minister also administered the oath of organ donation to the people and the health department staff and appealed to everyone to participate in this noble cause. He said that the objective of this initiative is to encourage the values ​​of selflessness and generosity shown by the ninth Guru Sahib Ji. Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed hope that this initiative will create awareness about the importance of blood donation and organ donation as well as inspire people to come forward for this noble cause. During this, the Chief Minister said that blood donation is the biggest service that a donor can give to the society because many precious lives can be saved by it. He said that every person should realize that every blood donor is a hero, hence he should donate blood regularly every three months. Bhagwant Singh Mann also interacted with the blood donors and appreciated their contribution to the society.
