Yoga for kids: In today’s digital age, children are under pressure from studies, screen time and homework. This affects not only their body but also their eyes and mental health.
In this situation, yoga is a simple and effective way to make children healthy, calm and focused. The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has also advised children to do yoga in a fun way in the form of a game.
A few minutes of simple yoga every day keeps children active and refreshes their mind. For this purpose, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga has recommended three special asanas.
According to Morarji Desai Yoga Institute, the first and extremely beneficial asana for children is Balasana (Child Pose).
To do this, children should sit on their knees, bend their body forward and keep their forehead on the ground.

Calms and relaxes the mind
Eliminates stiffness in back and shoulders
improves sleep at night
The second asana is butterfly asana.
Children sit on the ground and bring the soles of both feet together and move their knees up and down like butterfly wings.

brings positivity in mood
Increases flexibility in the body
The third asana is Vrikshasana, which is very beneficial for the mental and physical health of children.
The child stands on one leg, rests the other leg on the knee and folds both hands above the head.

sharpens concentration
increases self-confidence
Improves body stability
The Ministry of AYUSH says that yoga is very beneficial for children, but it should be done carefully and according to their capacity.
The total time of yoga for children should not exceed 35 minutes.
