Guwahati. The second match of the Test series between South Africa and India is being played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. Team India is currently seen on the backfoot in this test match. However, during this test match, Team India’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja achieved a big achievement. He has now taken 50 wickets in Test cricket against South Africa and is the fifth Indian bowler to do so.

Anil Kumble holds the record for taking the most number of wickets for India against South Africa in Test cricket. He had taken 54 wickets in 40 innings. The name of former fast bowler Javagal Srinath is at second place in the list. Srinath has taken 64 wickets in 25 innings. Harbhajan Singh’s name is at third place with 60 wickets in 19 innings. Former off-spinner Ravi Ashwin is at number four in this list. He had taken 57 wickets in 26 innings. Now Jadeja has taken 50 wickets in 19 innings. Now Jadeja’s name has been added to this list.


Jadeja has become the second Indian bowler to take the most wickets in Test against South Africa. By doing this, Jadeja has left behind the records of Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble. Ashwin holds the record of taking most wickets in Test against South Africa in India. Ashwin took 46 wickets in 7 matches against South Africa in India. Whereas, Jadeja is at second place in this matter. Jadeja has taken 44 wickets in 9 test matches. Kumble took 39 wickets in 9 Tests against South Africa in India.
