Dhruv Shringi, chairman, Yatra
Online travel platform Yatra Online on Tuesday said that cofounder and chief executive Dhruv Shringi has stepped down as CEO and taken on the role of executive chairman.

Shringi stepped down due to personal reasons, and will focus on global expansion, innovation, and shareholder value creation in his new role, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

Yatra has appointed Siddhartha Gupta as its new CEO, effective November 25. Prior to this, Gupta held roles at SAP, HP, and other companies, with experience in enterprise technology and B2B SaaS.

“His (Gupta’s) depth of experience in enterprise sales and SaaS aligns perfectly with Yatra’s B2B-first strategy,” Shringi said on the leadership change.

Over the past 12 months Yatra has onboarded 148 new corporate clients, translating into potential annual business of over Rs 700 crore. The company competes with the likes of MakeMyTrip, GoIbibo, Cleartrip, EaseMyTrip, and Ixigo.

“My focus will be on accelerating growth, enhancing our technology and service portfolio, and delivering greater value to our customers,” Gupta said in a statement.

For the quarter ended September, Yatra reported a 48% increase in its operating revenue to Rs 351 crore from Rs 236 crore a year ago. Profit stood at Rs 14 crore in Q2, doubling from Rs 7 crore in the corresponding period last year.
