Read :- IND vs SA: South Africa’s first innings ended, all out for 489 runs, Kuldeep took four wickets.

There is now more turn on the pitch in the fourth Guwahati Test than in the first three days, so the Proteas are strongly ahead in this match. Their openers looked safe against the seamers and kept the scoreboard running, but their overly cautious approach against the spinners resulted in some players getting out easily, which is a strange approach considering they control the game. Nevertheless, the visiting team maintained control over the match. Jadeja dismissed both the openers in this session, before Bavuma took an easy catch at leg slip off the bowling of Washington Sundar.

After the fall of the third wicket, Stubbs and De Zorzi injected some much-needed positivity into the innings, with De Zorzi in particular scoring quickly. He made effective use of the sweep shot, hitting several boundaries on the leg-side and confusing the spinners. With the lead already huge, it will be interesting to see how South Africa plays in the next session.
