Material



  • Oats – 1 cup

  • Wheat flour - 2 cups

  • Chopped or boiled spinach – 1 1/2 cups packed

  • 3 garlic pods

  • 2 chopped green chillies

  • half onion chopped

  • Cumin seeds or powder – 1/2 tsp

  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp

  • Curd – 3 teaspoons

  • Turmeric – a pinch

  • salt to taste

  • some wheat flour for dusting

  • 3 teaspoons oil for mixing in the flour

  • Oil or ghee for making parathas

  • Water for kneading the dough


Method of preparation



  • First of all, take oats and put them in soaking water and leave them for ten minutes.

  • Now boil the spinach in some water.

  • After the spinach cools down a bit, strain it and put it in the mixer grinder.

  • Now add garlic, green chillies, cumin seeds, chilli powder, turmeric powder, curd/yogurt and make a paste.

  • Then mix wheat flour with spinach puree in soaked oats.

  • Now knead the dough.

  • Now let this dough remain like this for 15 to 30 minutes.

  • After this, roll the dough into a medium sized roti.

  • Now bake this roti on both sides on the pan.

  • Apply some oil or ghee on the roti.

  • Now take it out from the pan and serve it with pickle and curd.
