The NBA Cares Season of Giving campaign is back for the holiday season, and its Bay Area team is all set to spread the holiday cheer. The Golden State Warriors will be hosting a variety of events over the length of the holiday season, and bring love and light to underprivileged communities. A host of events have been planned for the next few weeks - from a pop up pantry to shopping spree to a dessert decorating event to so much more.



This is the 20th anniversary of NBA Cares, and the league is going all out this season, especially with the holidays. The event kicked off with a Chop ‘N Chat at Generation Thrive Oakland earlier this month. And their next will be a pop-up pantry on November 22, and players, coaches, and even front office staff from the Warriors team- everyone will be taking part in this campaign.



Season of Giving is about going all outThe NBA Cares foundation marked their 20th anniversary this year. The foundation has continuously worked with internationally recognized youth-serving programs. They support the youth, focus on family development, as well as work for education and health-related causes in the unprivileged communities across the country.






For their next event of the Season of Giving campaign, the Golden State Warriors, in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, The Athletes’ Corner, and the Gary Payton II Foundation, will host a Swishes for Dishes pop-up pantry. This event will be for community members to pick up free turkeys and groceries. It will be held on Saturday, November 22, at the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland.



Similarly, there will be more such events like a Holiday Shopping Spree in partnership with Waymo, a Holiday Auction by the Golden State Community Foundation, Thrive Tree giveaways, a pop-up Holiday Market, and so much more. The team will also have a Christmas Day gift exchange on Thursday, December 25, right before they host the Dallas Mavericks. The gifts will be for the Bay Area youth.
