On the night of 21st November, in Deepgarh village of Gola police station area, unknown thieves targeted an abandoned house and broke the lock and stole jewelery and cash worth lakhs of rupees kept in the safe. The incident came to light the next day, when the landlady returned from her maternal home with her family on the night of 22 November. She was stunned to see the condition of the house, after breaking the lock of the house, all the belongings and jewelery were found missing, the family informed the Tikal Gola police and filed a case, there is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers due to this big incident of theft.
According to the information received, Deepgarh resident Reena Singh, wife of Durgvijay Singh, had gone to her maternal home with her entire family on November 21. When she returned home the next day on 22 November, she was stunned to find the lock of the main door broken. As soon as he entered the house, he saw that everything was in disarray and the lock of the safe was broken. Investigation of the safe revealed that the thieves had made away with the valuable jewelery and cash kept in it.
According to the victim, five rings, two gold chains, four anklets, twenty toe rings, jhumka, Jhala, silver girdle and other jewelery are missing from the safe. Apart from this, three thousand rupees in cash were also stolen. Frightened Reena Singh immediately called 112 and informed the police.
Police arrived on information, inspected the house and started investigation in the surrounding area. After this, on the basis of the written complaint given by the victim, a case has been registered in Gola police station under section 305, 331/4 of BNS. The police team has collected necessary evidence from the crime scene and started searching for the active miscreants.
The people of the village say that the incidents of theft have been increasing in the area for some time now, due to which there is an atmosphere of fear among the villagers. People have demanded increased police patrolling at night and strict vigil on suspicious persons.
Gola police station says that the matter is being investigated seriously. Police officials have claimed that soon the incident will be revealed and the thieves will be arrested. The police team is searching for clues with the help of CCTV footage, local inputs and other technical aspects.
This incident of theft has also raised questions on the local security system. The villagers have demanded from the police administration that concrete action should be taken to stop the increasing criminal activities in the area, so that people can feel safe.
