Monsoon Alert – Winter has begun to rage in North India, with people spending time around bonfires. Snowfall in Kashmir has brought temperatures down significantly. Snowfall in the hills of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand has also worsened the situation. The number of tourists seeking to enjoy the snowfall is certainly increasing.
People are experiencing the chill as temperatures drop in the capital, Delhi, and adjoining areas. Winter is also becoming a problem in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the threat of rain looms over six states.
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning for several states. People have been advised to exercise caution due to the possibility of lightning. Detailed updates on the weather conditions are available below.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in the capital Delhi are showing a drop, and this trend is expected to continue. The IMD has predicted that the minimum temperature in Delhi will reach 10 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature here is expected to be 25 degrees Celsius. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 20 to 2kilometresrs per hour in the morning and evening.
The IMD has also predicted a drop in temperatures in Uttar Pradesh. Temperatures are expected to drop sharply on November 24th in several districts, including Agra, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Aligarh. A cold wave may also begin in western Uttar Pradesh.
Strong winds are expected to blow from Delhi in some areas. Bihar may also experience severe cold. Maximum temperatures are also expected to drop today in almost all districts of Bihar.
The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain warning in six states. According to the IMD, an alert for heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning has been issued in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal. In addition, heavy to severe rainfall alerts have been issued for several areas of Odisha and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Fishermen living along the coast have been advised to remain vigilant.
