Due to the increasing difference in day and night temperatures in Kaithal, the cold has increased, due to which the local residents are facing difficulties. On Sunday, the maximum temperature was 26 degrees Celsius and the night temperature dropped to 10 degrees. This temperature difference has affected people’s daily routine and travel.
There was light fog in the district in the morning, which caused difficulty in driving. However, after 7 am, the haze reduced due to light breeze and there was some relief when the sun came out. But due to change in weather, health problems have started increasing.
More than 100 people are coming to the Civil Hospital every day with complaints of cough, cold, throat infection and fever. The number of patients in private hospitals is also continuously increasing. Doctors have advised people to wear warm clothes and avoid cold.
Meteorologists have predicted a 2-3 degree drop in temperature in the next three days. If this happens, the cold will increase further and the fog may also become dense in the morning and evening.
Due to snowfall in the hilly areas, cold is increasing in the district. People are seen enjoying the sunshine in parks, roads and rooftops. It was a little cold in the morning on Saturday, but due to the presence of clouds the coldness was felt less during the day.
Rabi season has gained momentum with increasing cold. Farmers are doing wheat sowing work at a rapid pace.
The average temperature of 25°C is considered most favorable for wheat sowing, and the current season is suitable for this crop. According to Dr. Ramesh Chandra Verma, Weather Coordination Officer of the district, the weather will remain changeable in the coming days.
