Gold Silver Price: After the rise in the prices of gold and silver (Gold-Silver Rates) this year, their prices have declined recently. In the last one week, the price of silver has decreased by approximately Rs 8,238 per kg. Similarly, the price of gold also fell and 24 carat gold became cheaper by Rs 1,648 per 10 grams.

In MCX, the price of 24 carat gold with expiry of December 5 is now Rs 1,24,195 per 10 grams compared to its highest level of Rs 1,32,294. According to IBJA, gold rates in the domestic market are as follows:




  • 24 carat gold: Rs 1,23,146/10 grams




  • 22 carat gold: Rs 1,20,190/10 grams




  • 20 carat gold: Rs 1,09,600/10 grams




  • 18 carat gold: Rs 99,750/10 grams




  • 14 carat gold: Rs 79,430/10 grams




Note that when buying jewellery, 3% GST and making charges have to be added separately, which increases the final price.


Sharp fall in silver prices


Silver prices were also seen falling significantly in both MCX and domestic markets. The futures price of 1 kg silver on MCX was Rs 1,56,018 on November 14, which became Rs 1,54,052 on November 21. This means that silver became cheaper by Rs 1,966 in a week. In this way, silver in the domestic market decreased to around Rs 8,238 per kg.
