After winning the toss and batting first, West Indies were all out for 161 runs in 36.2 overs. In which Roston Chase scored 38 runs in 51 balls, John Campbell scored 26 runs in 24 balls and in the lower order Khary Pierre scored unbeaten 22 runs in 34 balls. No player failed to play a big innings.


For New Zealand, Matt Henry took 4 wickets, Jacob Duffy and captain Mitchell Santner took 2-2 wickets, Kyle Jamieson and Zachary Foulkes took 1-1 wicket.



In reply, New Zealand had a bad start and 4 wickets fell till the total score of 70 runs. After which Chapman and Michael Bracewell made a partnership of 75 runs for the fifth wicket and brought the team to the threshold of victory.


Chapman, who was the top scorer, played an inning of 64 runs in 63 balls, in which he hit 8 fours and 2 sixes. Whereas Bracewell scored unbeaten 40 runs in 31 balls. Due to which New Zealand won by losing 6 wickets in 30.3 overs.


For West Indies, Matthew Ford and Jaden Seals took 2-2 wickets, while Roston Chase-Shammar Springer took 1-1 wicket.


Now a three-Test series will be played between the two teams, which will start from December 2.
