
School Violence: A shocking incident has come to light in VIP Inter College located in Pilkhua area of Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh. There was a stir in the area after the case of bullying and beating of a class 9 student by the school principal came to light.
Student Pragya Tomar reached home and told her crying family that during the school break, the principal suddenly started pulling her hair from behind and then started slapping her. The video of this incident has gone viral on social media, where people are strongly criticizing the behavior of the principal.
According to the family, Pragya was normally coming out of the school after school when Principal Veena Sharma grabbed her hair from behind and pulled her hard. When Pragya tried to hold her hand to save herself, the principal became more violent.
It can be clearly heard in the video that the principal is telling the student, “I will erase your name, I will kill you.” Hearing this, the student got scared and after reaching home, narrated the entire incident. The family immediately tried to go to the school and complain, but there too the principal showed indecency and threatened them.
In the viral video, the principal is seen repeatedly challenging the student. She says, “Hold my hand, tell me if I don’t kill you.” Not only this, in anger he removed the student’s name from the school right there.
Seeing this the family and local people looked very angry. Many social media users also raised the question that how can a teacher behave like this with children. People are demanding that strict action be taken against the principal.
After the incident, the student’s family lodged a complaint with the police and also gave complete information to the District School Inspector (DIOS). Taking the matter seriously, DIOS has issued a show cause notice to the principal.
Police are also investigating on the basis of video and statement. This case raises a big question regarding the safety of students in educational institutions and forces one to ask whether the responsibility of children should be in the hands of such people or not.
