Mumbai: ‘Saiyaara’ star Ahaan Panday said in a recent interview that global icon Priyanka Chopra had seen the X-factor in him much before his Bollywood debut.

In a conversation with GQ, Ahaan shared that Priyanka spotted him during a dance performance at Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan’s wedding.

He was a last-minute replacement as someone had pulled out of the dance performance at Arpita’s wedding.

Ahaan had only two hours to learn the dance steps and perform in front of the celebrity guests.

The actor further shared that Priyanka, who was present at the wedding, told him, “You have the X factor. Treat your dreams like skydiving — once you jump, there’s no looking back.”

Ahaan added, “She probably doesn’t even know I’m the same guy who ended up doing Saiyaara, but that moment stayed with me.”

Addressing the persistent talks about him being from a filmy background, Ahaan said, “I’ve always felt like the place I come from is behind a fence. I can reach out through it, but I can’t quite touch what’s on the other side.”

After the massive success of ‘Saiyaara’, Ahaan will next be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s action-romance film, which also features Sharvari.

According to a Mid-Day report, actor Bobby Deol will be seen playing Ahaan’s rival in the film.
