Brits are likely to experience warmer weather this weekend as the temperature levels are set to rise to 10C on Sunday in saome areas, weather maps have suggested. News of warmer conditions comes as the country battles through days of unsettled weather, with several snow and ice warnings in place.

According to a weather expert, the snowy conditions experienced across the UK this week are expected to give way to rain, with sunshine replaced by dull, cloudy skies during the weekend. As milder air is expected to move in, warnings for snow and ice will no longer be in effect. Daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 7 and 10C, and nights will also feel less cold compared to recent conditions, maps suggested. Weather maps from WXCharts generated on November 20 using Met Desk data show temperature levels soaring to 10C in London and nearby areas on Sunday.

This would mark a significant rise in temperatures when compared to conditions recorded on Thursday, when London and surrounding areas recorded between 2C and 3C.

The weather maps show a clear north-south divide this weekend as several parts of Scotland shiver in 1C while parts of England enjoy a relatively warmer weather.

According to the maps, London, Oxford, Bath, Southampton, Reading, Bournemouth are likely to experience the warmer weather with the temperature staying around 10C.

Jo Farrow, a meteorologist with Netweather.tv said: "Milder air should be wrapped up in this low pressure but for inland central Scotland, temperatures could still dip below freezing. This would be away from the milder air in the south, and influenced by lingering lying snow.

"It does look mixed and unsettled with the risk of strong winds, especially for southern coasts. Again any less cold air will be tempered by wind and rain.

"As the low pressure pulls away eastwards on Monday that will leave a northerly flow briefly before high pressure builds in from the Atlantic and the weather settles a bit. It will feel cool but not as cold as on Wednesday this week."
