New Delhi: Indian boxers continued the country’s gold rush at the World Boxing Final 2025 by pocketing two more elusive gold medals. After Indian women boxers earned four gold medals for the country, Nikhat Zareen and Jaismine Lamboria emerged victorious in their respective final bouts to add to the gold medal tally.
On the ultimate day of the mega event at Greater Noida, India have till now earned 6 gold medals as the Indian women boxers continued to be on a roll on Thursday. Nikhat beat Chinese Taipei Guo YI Xuan unanimously 5:0 in the women’s 51 kg final while Jaismine beat Chinese Taipei WU Shih YI in women’s 57 kg final.
While women bought laurels for the country, the men fell at the final hurdle settling with silver medals. Abhinash Jamwal settled for silver after losing to Japan’s Shion Nishiyama in the men’s 65 kg final, while Ankush ended his campaign with a silver after losing to England’s Shittu Oladimeji in the men’s 80kg final.
Meanwhile, Jadumani suffered a heartbreaking loss in her final bout against Asilbek Jalilov of Uzbekistan in the women’s 50kg final to settle for silver.
