Newswise — HONOLULU, Nov. 19, 2025 — The Acoustical Society of America will host two virtual press conferences Wednesday, Dec. 3, and Thursday, Dec. 4, at 11 a.m. Hawaii Standard Time, as a part of their joint meeting with Acoustical Society of Japan at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. ASA and ASJ will offer in-person sessions throughout the week.


The virtual press conferences will feature a wide range of newsworthy sessions from the upcoming meeting. Media can listen to presentations on topics that include the use of sound for pest control, the ideal artificial electric vehicle noise, detecting gunshots from illegal rainforest poaching, and more.


Media are invited to register for the virtual press conferences and/or in-person conference sessions by emailing media@aip.org. Video recordings of the press conference sessions will be available upon request.
