Star Bangladesh batter Mushfiqur Rahim has made his 100th Test appearance memorable by scoring a ton.


Rahim reached the three-figure mark on Day 2 of the 2nd Test against Ireland at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.


The wicketkeeper-batter added two century stands, with Mominul Haque and Litton Das, to get the hosts past 300.


Rahim slammed his 13th century in the format.

Rahim came in after Bangladesh were down to 95/3 with the dismissal of skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto.


The former steadied the ship with Mominul Haque, adding 107 runs (214 balls) for the third wicket.


While Haque departed, Rahim joined forces with Litton Das, having added a 108-run stand off 209 balls.


Rahim played a compact knock, departing for a 214-ball 106 (5 fours).

According to ESPNcricinfo, Rahim has become only the 11th player to score a century in their 100th Test. He has joined Colin Cowdrey, Javed Miandad, Gordon Greenidge, Alec Stewart, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Ricky Ponting, Graeme Smith, Hashim Amla, Joe Root, and David Warner.
