Benefits of Neem leaves


Health Corner: According to Ayurveda, Neem leaves are rich in antibiotic, antibacterial and antiallergic properties. They also provide protection from diseases caused by pollution and pesticides. Let us know its benefits:


In skin problems: Applying a paste of neem leaves is beneficial in skin diseases like itching, prickly heat, eczema, psoriasis and leprosy.



In diabetes: Consuming 6-7 Neem leaves and 8-10 Nimboli leaves on an empty stomach in the morning keeps the sugar level under control.


For stomach problems: Chewing neem leaves on an empty stomach provides relief from gas, ulcers and other stomach problems. Apart from this, Neem juice is also useful for cleaning the stomach. Chewing 3-4 soft neem leaves in spring protects against infectious diseases like typhoid, smallpox and jaundice.


For hair: Mixing dry neem leaves with henna, amla, reetha and shikakai and applying it on hair for an hour makes hair black and soft and also removes dandruff.


Uses in Shampoo: Soak Amla, Reetha, Shikakai, Aloe Vera and Neem leaves in an iron vessel for 1-2 nights and boil them. Then filter it, cool it and use it as shampoo.



Uses in Oil: Mix 2 handfuls of neem leaves paste, amla, aloe vera and fenugreek paste in 200 grams coconut or mustard oil and heat it. After it cools down, massage your head with this oil twice a week.


Avoidance: Do not eat anything one hour before and after consuming Neem leaves and Nimboli, otherwise you will not get any benefit.



Pesticide Uses: Boiling neem leaves in water and taking bath removes germs from the body. Make a paste of these and apply them with multani mitti, sandalwood powder and rose water on the face for 20-30 minutes and then wash.


Protection from mosquitoes: Burn a handful of dry neem leaves with cow dung and smoke it for 15 minutes, during which the family members should go out. Open the windows and doors later.
