Deepinder Goyal talks about his mysterious new wearable
18 Nov 2025

Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, has cleared the air over the mysterious 'infinity stone' device seen on his head in a recent photograph.

The image had sparked a wave of speculation on social media platform X.

Responding to the curiosity, Goyal explained that it was an experimental device for measuring brain blood flow.

He had been using it for a year while researching his "Gravity Aging Hypothesis."

Goyal's 'gravity aging hypothesis' and its implications
Hypothesis

The "Gravity Aging Hypothesis" proposed by Goyal suggests that reduced blood flow to the brain due to gravitational effects contributes to aging.

He said, "Science already knows that Brain Flow is highly correlated to age, and an important biomarker for aging."

The Zomato CEO also suggested upside-down positions as a way to counteract these effects, claiming they could help improve brain blood flow.

Device utility

Goyal confirmed that the device was indeed used to measure "Brain Flow," and he had been using it for a long time.

He said, "While conducting research on the Gravity Aging Hypothesis, we had to make an experimental device to calculate Brain Flow accurately, real-time, and continuously."

He also said that this could evolve into a much-needed wearable for the world.

Goyal addresses commercial product speculation
Commercial concerns

Despite the potential of the device, Goyal dismissed claims that the hypothesis was created to sell a commercial product.

He said, "Temple is going to be a small cute company if at all. Nothing compared to Eternal."

He further clarified, "We didn't cook up the Gravity Aging Hypothesis to sell Temple. Not my game to lose the trust our customers have in me over a marketing gimmick."
