Prince Harry raised eyebrows last week when he announced his faux-royal visit to Vancouver within minutes of Prince William completing his first major engagement in Brazil.
Critics were quick to question the timing of Harry's message, suggesting it was an attempt to draw attention away from his estranged sibling. At the time, Harry's spokesperson was quick to quash rumours it was a tactical move. But now Meghan Markle has made an announcement that runs the risk of another royal clash - this time with Princess Kate.
The Duchess has shared the date of a Christmas episode of her show, With Love, Meghan, revealing it will arrive on Netflix on December 3. "Embrace traditions and make new ones this holiday season. With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration arrives December 3rd on @netflix," she shared to her Instagram account.

Meghan, 44, also teased a look at her festive holiday table in the post, showing her wearing a green dress and looking over what appears to be a dinner table with candles, glassware, ribbons, and greenery.
Netflix said in a statement: "This December, join Meghan in Montecito, California, for a magical holiday celebration as she shares how she likes to make this time with family and friends especially memorable and meaningful. Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs — and give you simple how-tos to follow at home."
While Meghan's fans will be counting down the days until the episode drops, royal watchers have noted a potential clash with the royal calendar. In September, it was confirmed that Princess Kate will once again be hosting her annual Together at Christmas carol service, which is traditionally held at Westminster Abbey.
While Kensington Palace is yet to announce the date for this year's event, it typically takes place in early December. Last year's service, which was the fourth Christmas Carol celebration, was held on Friday, December 6, 2024.
It's no secret that the Princess of Wales and Meghan aren't close. Despite Harry's attempts to reconcile with the royal family, the gulf between the Duke and his older brother William is bigger than ever. And it seems there is no love lost between their wives, either.
Speaking in the first instalment of episodes from docuseries Harry & Meghan, Meghan revealed details of her first meeting with the Prince and Princess of Wales - and said she immediately noticed a difference between her and Kate.
"They came over for dinner, I remember I was in ripped jeans and I was barefoot," she said. "I was a hugger. I've always been a hugger, I didn't realise that is really jarring for a lot of Brits."
Recalling how she started to understand "very quickly" how the formality of royal life continued behind closed doors, she continued: "There is a forward-facing way of being, and then you close the door and go, 'You can relax now', but that formality carries over on both sides. And that was surprising to me."
In his 2023 memoir, Spare, Harry also lifted the lid on Meghan's first meeting with Kate. "We'd had them over for dinner during one of Meg's visits, and Meg cooked, and everything was good," he wrote.
"Willy had a cold: he was sneezing and coughing, and Meg ran upstairs to get him some of her homeopathic cure-alls. Oregano oil, turmeric. He seemed charmed, moved, though Kate announced to the table that he'd never take such unconventional remedies."
Harry added: "The only possibly discordant note I could think of was the marked difference in how the two women dressed, which both of them seemed to notice," he said. "Meg: ripped jeans, barefoot. Kate: done up to the nines. No big deal, I thought."
