State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a special Student Plan to mark Children’s Day 2025, offering high-value benefits at an affordable price. The Ministry of Communications announced on Friday that the limited-period plan will be available from 14 November to 13 December 2025.

Priced at ₹251, the BSNL Student Plan offers 100GB of high-speed data, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and a validity of 28 days. The company has positioned it as a data-rich option designed to meet the digital and academic needs of students.

Powered by BSNL’s Indigenous 4G Network

BSNL CMD A. Robert J. Ravi said the plan comes shortly after BSNL’s nationwide rollout of its indigenously developed 4G mobile network. “BSNL has recently deployed a Make in India state-of-the-art 4G mobile network pan-India. India is only the fifth country in the world to develop 4G mobile network technology, and BSNL has been actively engaged in its development and rollout,” he said.

Designed for Students’ Academic Needs

Ravi added that the plan gives students a chance to experience BSNL’s indigenous 4G service for a full 28 days with up to 100GB of data. He described it as a competitive and pocket-friendly option for students who require large data volumes for studies. He said BSNL expects long-term user retention once students experience its improved service quality and coverage.
