At present this facility has started in some states like Chandigarh, Ladakh and Dadra Nagar Haveli, but soon it is going to be implemented across the country. How to get ration card made at home through UMANG app

Step 1:Download UMANG app on your smartphone (from Google Play Store or App Store). Login or register with mobile number and OTP. On the homepage, click on “Services” → Utility Services → Apply Ration Card.

Step 2:Select your state. Currently this facility is available only in some states. Fill the application form name, father/husband name, address, number of family members etc. Upload required documents like Aadhar Card, Address Proof, Photograph of family members etc.

Step 3:Submit the form you will get the registration number from which you can track the status. Once the application is approved, you will get the ration card by download or by post.

Documents required to make ration card

Aadhar card (of all family members), address proof (electricity bill, rent agreement, domicile certificate etc.), passport size photograph, income certificate (if applying for BPL category), old ration card (if re-issued).
