The Yamaha XSR 155 and the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 are an interesting competition in the retro-inspired segment in the Indian motorcycle market. While the XSR 155 blends classic looks with modern technology and performance, the Hunter 350 sticks to its pure classic roadster appeal.


Both have powerful features


The Yamaha XSR 155 bike comes with a 155cc, liquid-cooled, VVA engine, which has been borrowed from Yamaha’s performance bikes like the MT-15 and R15. This engine gives modern, agile and high-revving performance. Whereas, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has a big 349cc engine which is known for its high torque and power. This engine provides a comfortable and powerful cruising experience.


The XSR 155 comes with retro-modern styling. It blends old-fashioned headlights and a muscular tank with a circular LCD display and new ergonomics. Whereas, Hunter 350 retains a classic roadster design. Its looks reflect the heritage of Royal Enfield, making it popular among lovers of pure classic bikes.

In terms of price, both the bikes stand at the same starting point, but there is a big difference in mileage. Yamaha XSR 155 price starts around ₹ 1.5 lakh and Royal Enfield Hunter 350 price ranges from ₹ 1.5 lakh to ₹ 1.75 lakh. The XSR 155 gets disc brakes with dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). At the same time, the feature of disc brake and ABS (dual channel) is also available in Hunter 350.
