Al Falah Meaning in Islam: The blast that took place near the Red Fort in Delhi on Monday, 10 November, shocked the entire country. Actually, Al-Falah is made up of two words. One is Al and the other is Falah. In Hindi “Falah” means success, welfare, prosperity and salvation. It is an Arabic word which is often used in reference to achieving success or moving towards well-being. If seen from Islamic context, Falah means spiritual salvation i.e. considered from heaven.
In Arabic 'al' means “he” or “the”. It is a fixed word which is placed in front of a noun or adjective to make it special. For example – ‘al-Bayt’ for ‘house’ means “that house”. It is also often used in place names - such as 'Al-Jazeera' (the island) or 'Al-Falah University'.
Falah is also used during Azaan while saying “Hayya Alal Falah”. In such a situation, here it means move or run towards success. In Islam, Falah means success. In such a situation, Al-Falah in Islam means success in this world and heaven in the hereafter by following the path shown by Allah.
