Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that all the investors coming to the Punyadhara of Madhya Pradesh are heartily welcomed. He said that the state government will not only provide the benefits of its schemes to the investors, but will also provide them all possible support in setting up a unit or factory. The Chief Minister was addressing investors at Samatva Bhawan located at the Chief Minister's residence on Wednesday.

Topan Specialty Films Company will invest Rs 950 crore

During the program, under the leadership of Principal Secretary Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Raghavendra Kumar Singh, Indian and Japanese officials of Topan Specialty Films Pvt. Ltd. paid a courtesy call on the Chief Minister. The company, which is acquired by a Japanese group, plans to set up a BOPP and CPT film manufacturing unit at a cost of Rs 950 crore in Pithampur Industrial Area Sector-7 in Dhar district. The annual production capacity of this unit will be approximately 71,200 tonnes. This investment will be made in the form of 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).

Detailed discussion on investment process

The investment process and upcoming industrial proceedings were discussed in detail in the meeting. On this occasion, the company's CFO and Whole Time Director Amit Jain, Commercial Head Ritesh Tirkha, Managing Executive Director Hiroshi Suzuki, General Manager Tasuku Sena, Sector Staff Tomohiro Koma and Technical Advisor Toshiyuki Maki and other officers were present.

First investment in Madhya Pradesh, new direction of industry expansion

Company officials said that this will be their first investment in Madhya Pradesh. The company wants to make maximum use of the benefits available under the investment promotion scheme of the state government. He informed that Topan Group was established in 1988 as an Indian company, which was later acquired by a Japanese group. The company specializes in manufacturing packaging film, label film and graphic lamination film.

Group's global turnover and expansion plan

Topan Group's global turnover is around Rs 1.25 lakh crore (US$14 billion), while the company's turnover in India is around Rs 1500 crore. Currently the company's only plant in India is located on 45 acres of land in Punjab. Now a unit of the company will be established in Madhya Pradesh also, for which 14 hectares of land has been identified in Pithampur Industrial Area, Sector-7. Company representatives have also made a preliminary inspection of this location.
