Ayodhya Ram Mandir Shikhar Flag: Preparations are in full swing for the flag hoisting ceremony at the peak of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will be the chief guests of this grand program on November 25. This ceremony will be as grand as Pran Pratistha and will symbolize the completion of the construction work of Ram temple.

Preparations for the flag hoisting program at the peak of Ram temple in Ayodhya have intensified. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, will be the chief guest of the event on November 25. Prime Minister Modi will hoist a 22 feet long and 11 feet wide saffron flag on the 161 feet high peak of Ram Temple. This ceremony will be as grand as the grand consecration ceremony.

There will be ancient symbols on the flag

According to Govind Dev Giri, treasurer of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, this saffron colored flag will have the symbols of Surya, Om and Kovidar tree mentioned in Valmiki Ramayana. The flag will be hoisted on the 42 feet high pole on the peak of Ram temple. The five-day celebrations will begin on November 21 and conclude with the flag hoisting on November 25. During this time the Acharyas of Ayodhya and Kashi will perform the rituals.

10,000 guests and special rituals organized

Ram Mandir Trust has increased the number of guests invited for this grand event from 8,000 to 10,000. Flag hoisting will also be done at six other temples of the Ram temple complex and Sheshavtar temple. These temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Ganesha, Surya, Hanuman, Mata Bhagwati and Mata Annapurna. Special puja, havan and other rituals will be performed in all the 8 temples including Ram temple.

The flagpole will be capable of withstanding storms

The flagpole installed on the peak of Ram temple will be technologically advanced, which will be based on ball-bearings that can rotate 360 degrees. This arrangement will ensure that the flag can easily withstand strong wind speeds of up to 60 km/hr and there is no damage to it during storms. The quality of the flag fabric and its bearing capacity are being examined. The flag making agency will present the test report in the building construction committee meeting on October 28, on the basis of which the final selection of fabric for the flag will be made.
