A British holidaymaker has amazed people after showing off his Benidorm penthouse apartment he paid just £20 a night tostay in on his recent trip.

While it's exciting to travelsomewhere new and explore a different location, having the opportunity to go back to a quiet room to recharge at the end of the day can be crucial. While all you really need in terms of accommodationis a bed and bathroom - possibly with the additional breakfast, there are often plenty of budget-friendly accommodations to choose from if you're wanting to go on holiday. But the quality of these cheaper accommodations may vary.

However, one brit named Grumet White seemed to have won the accommodation lottery as he took to social media to show off the impressive penthouse he got his hands on in Benidorm, paying just £20 a night for it. He went on to argue it’s proof you don’t need to “spend thousands to stay in big posh hotels”.

The four-bed flat - complete with a bar, TV, bathroom and wraparound balcony with incredible views - is right in the heart of the Spanishparty hotspot.

In a viral TikTokvideo, which has already racked up over 83,000 views, Grumet and his mate decided to give followers a full tour of the budget-friendly penthouse.

The clip starts with two single beds and a bathroom with a shower, followed by a small kitchen with a sink, hob, fridge and cupboard space. There’s also a cosy living area with a sofa and TV, two more beds and even a built-in bar.

Outside, the Grumet soaks up the sun while his pal shows off the huge wraparound balcony with views across Benidorm.

“This is a penthouse as well, a penthouse we’ve got,” the 48-year-old, from Middlesbrough shared. “The size of it, come to Benidorm, I’m telling you."

He went on to say if you're spending thousands to stay in other popular Benidorm hotels, such as The Ambassador or The Presidente, you’re 'just paying for the names' as he went on to argue the rooms are small for what you end up paying.

“It’s unbelievable how big this is," Grumet said about his penthouse. “You’re right near the beach as well, about a minute away."

“Amazing, isn’t it?” he added.

The Playmar Apartments, where the pals stayed, have a 4.6-star Tripadvisor rating, with prices starting at just £20 per person. Viewers were quick to praise the hidden gem in the comments.

“It’s better staying in apartments, I think, than hotels. They're on Wednesday, can’t wait," one person said, while another viewer wrote: “Looks great and such a great price.”

A third person said: “Pretty Payma apartments, it’s mint tbf.” [sic]

“Love Benidorm," someone else wrote, while another viewer simply said: “Stunning.”
