The Prince of Wales opened up about the loss of his English Cocker Spaniel in an interview with Eugene Levy on an episode of The Reluctant Traveler. The beloved pet of William and Kate sadly passed away in November 2020.

Speaking openly with the American Pie actor, William described the loss in four words, stating, "It was very sad," describing how the whole family were present. At the time, William and Kate announced the death of Lupo on their Instagram account, writing a tribute: "Very sadly last weekend our dear dog, Lupo, passed away. He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much."

The pooch was a present from Kate's younger brother, James Middleton, as a wedding gift in 2011.

Occasionally, beloved Lupo would join the Prince and Princess for a few low-key outings to polo matches and horse trials.

Meanwhile, Orla joined the family in January 2021, and the dog welcomed a litter of puppies, with Kensington Palace sharing an image of Prince William with the puppies to mark his 43rd birthday in June.

Orla even joined William during his meeting with Eugene to film at Windsor Castle. He introduced the dog to the host, where he presented her with dog treats.

William remarks: "This is going down well, look, you're getting the look which is like 'please feed me'. Eugene replies: "And that'll do it. Oh my goodness..."

One Princess of Wales fan account on X reshared the clip of Orla and William and penned: "This is soooo cute! Princess Orla of Wales in The Reluctant Traveler's new teaser."

An excited Eugene can be heard clapping as Orla approaches him and runs around William's feet. William can be seen grinning as he praises the dog with a "good girl," before introducing his pet to Eugene.

In a very relatable moment, William smiles as Orla jumps up at his shins as he tells her "down, down," before admitting: "She's now very over excited about going on a walk."
