World Leaders Celebrate PM Modi's Milestone Birthday


New Delhi: On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his heartfelt thanks to numerous global leaders who reached out with warm birthday wishes as he celebrated his 75th birthday.




Among those who sent their regards were Russian President Vladimir Putin, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed.




Additionally, birthday greetings came from Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing, Guyana's President Irfaan Ali, and Dominica's Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.




Other leaders, including Papua New Guinea's Prime Minister James Marape, Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, and Trinidad and Tobago's Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, also conveyed their wishes.




While many leaders opted for phone calls, others chose to share their messages through social media platforms.




Modi acknowledged President Putin's call, stating, "Thank you, my friend, President Putin, for your warm wishes on my 75th birthday. We are dedicated to enhancing our Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership."




In response to Prime Minister Albanese, he remarked, "Thank you, my friend, Prime Minister Albanese, for your kind wishes. I look forward to further strengthening the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and our close people-to-people ties."




To Prime Minister Tobgay, Modi expressed, "Thank you, Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay, for your kind wishes. I look forward to collaborating to enhance our special partnership with Bhutan."




He also conveyed gratitude to PM Meloni, stating, "Thank you, Prime Minister Meloni, for your warm wishes. I deeply appreciate Italy's friendship and look forward to further strengthening it."




In his message to PM Skerrit, Modi said, "Thank you for your kind wishes, Prime Minister Skerrit. India values the strong bonds of friendship and solidarity with the Commonwealth of Dominica."




Modi thanked New Zealand's PM Luxon as well, saying, "Thank you, Prime Minister Luxon, for your warm wishes. I cherish our friendship. New Zealand plays a vital role in India's journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047."




In his response to Guyana's Ali, he noted, "I am touched by your warm sentiments that reflect the deep bonds of friendship and mutual trust between India and Guyana."




Born on September 17, 1950, in Vadnagar, a small town in Gujarat, PM Modi has reached a significant milestone in his life.
