First of all, take a bath in the morning and purify the house and sanctify the worship place with Ganga water. Then clean the urn of worship thoroughly and fill it with water. Now add betel nut, coin, intact, and flowers to it. Sow barley in an earthen vessel and install an urn filled with water over it. Place roli, akshat, molly, betel nut, coin and mango leaves on the Kalash. Put coconut on top of the urn and wrap it with red cloth and tie it with molly.

Install the statue or picture of Maa Durga near the Kalash and offer incense, lamps, flowers and start worshiping. Lastly, recite Durga Saptashati, Goddess Stuti or Devi Kavach. It is very important to take care of these things for the installation of Kalash. Because by worshiping with the right method, the grace of Maa Durga is received quickly.

The festival of Navratri is a symbol of the victory of good over evil. According to mythology, Maa Durga fought for nine days to kill a demon named Mahishasura. Finally, he killed Mahishasura and protected religion. Therefore, these nine days have been dedicated to the worship of Maa Durga.
