New delhi: The Supreme Court said on Monday that if any kind of Illegal process has been adopted by the election commission (eci) during the special intensive revision (sir) going Campaign can be canceled.


The court made it clear that this decision will not be limited to bihar only, but will be applicable to all sir exercises going on access on access the country. During the hearing, the Supreme Court also said that it believes that the election commission is a constitutional institution and is following the law and rules.


Controversy Again on Aadhar Card


The court has fixed October 7 as the date for the next hearing and final debate on the case. The Supreme Court Had Ordered Last Monday that during the online Voter list revision process in bihar, aadhar card should also be accepted as the 12th valid document.


The court has given this direction when complaints were received that the election Officials had refused to accept aadhaar. Opposition is constantly Raising Questions


Opposition parties are constantly raising questions about this process going on in bihar. They allege that names of many real voters have been removed without proper verification. The opposition says that the commission has fixed 11 documents for adding names, but have not included aadhaar card even thoughts it is the most common identity card.
