Global messaging veteran WhatsApp, improving user experience with a new threaded reply feature. This feature is currently in beta test for Android and iOS, as WABETAINFO reported on 13 September 2025. Designed to organize the disorganized group chat, this feature combines the reactions under the original message, making it easier to follow the conversation without scrolling the disorganized feeds.

Whatsapp beta version for Android, available in os 25.19.10.80 (via Google Play Store), display a reply counter on the message bubble, available in os 25.19.10.80 (via Google Play Store) and iOS 25.19.10.80 (via Testflight). Tapping on it opens a dedicated thread view, in which all reactions are listed in chronicly. Users can add direct answers within the thread, ensuring clarity, especially in sharp-turned group discussions. The already existing answers are automatically included, causing the flow of interaction.
How to use threaded reply:

Find a reply indicator: Check the message bubble for the counter showing the number of reply.

Open thread: Tap on the indicator to see all the responses in order.

Scroll and read: Browse thread to follow the conversation.

Answer or navigate: Add the answer to the thread or tap on a reaction and go to its main chat position.

This facility is still under development and is not available for public testing and it may take time to apply globally to months. It is similar to a system like Slack, which promises to reduce confusion in group chats, community and channels. This step of Whatsapp corresponds to its recent updates, including AI-operated chat wallpapers, to increase functionality for billions of users.
