Staneemeehoi, a seafood restaurant in Thailand’s Bangkok, known for its dancing and cross-dressing waiters fondly referred to as the “Thai Hot Guys” will close its doors on July 31 after nine years of operation.

In a Facebook post, the restaurant announced that the closure is due to the end of its lease with Hua Mum Night Market, and it will need to find a new location, 8Days reported.

In a statement released on July 5 by the restaurant’s owners, Dee & Wow, they revealed plans to expand to Kuala Lumpur, which could become their first location in Malaysia.

The restaurant gained viral fame on social media for its flamboyant, muscular male dancers dressed in gender-bending outfits such as crop tops, silky pajamas, and short skirts.

Customers from around the world flocked to see the performers gyrate provocatively and interact closely with diners.
