New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu has appointed new Governor in Haryana, Goa and new Lieutenant Governor in Union Territory Ladakh. Pro. Ashim Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the Governor of Haryana while P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju has been appointed as the Governor of Goa. President Murmu, Retired Brigadier Dr. B.D. Mishra’s resignation has been accepted. In his place, Kavinder Gupta has been made the Ladakh Ladakh Lt. Governor. While issuing a notification regarding these appointments on behalf of the President’s Office, it has been said to implement these appointments with immediate effect.

Kavinder Gupta, the new Ladakh Ladakh’s new Ladakh, is named among the senior and hard -working leaders of the BJP. He has also been the Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Kavinder Gupta has a very old association with the RSS. He started going to Sangh branches from the age of 13. Kavinder Gupta has also been the mayor of Jammu for three consecutive times from 2005 to 2010. Apart from this, he was unanimously elected as the Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly in 2014.



Prof. Governor of Haryana was appointed Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh originally comes from Howrah West Bengal. He has also been the president of West Bengal BJP and contested on a BJP ticket. Till now Bandaru Dattatreya was holding the responsibility of the post of Governor of Haryana. However, it is not yet clear what new responsibility will Bandaru Dattatreya get. Goa Governor P Ashok Gajapati Raju is the leader of the BJP’s ally Telugu Desam Party (TDP). He is the younger son of the last Maharaja P Vijayaram Gajapati Raju of Vijayanagaram. Ashok Gajapati Raju has also been the Minister of Civil Aviation in the past. Perhaps this is the first time the BJP has appointed the leader of its ally.
