New delhi: The “Mind, Brain and Consciousness Conference (MBCC 2025)” was inaurated at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi. This Four-day International Conference Saw The Confluence of Consciousness, Brain, Mental Health and Indian Knowledge Tradition. The aim of this event is to promote dialogue between Science and Indian Spiritual Tradition, Reports Read Correspondent.


This conference has been organized by the Indian Knowledge Systems and Mental Health Applications (IKSMHA) Center of IIT Mandi. It is Attended by Neuroscientists, Psychologists, Philosophers, Spiritual Gurus and AI Experts from Around the World.


Focus on Indian consciousness


MBCC 2025 is based on the Confluence of Consciousness Science, Mental Health, Neuroscience and Indian Philosophical Thoughts. It aims to encourage dialogue between different fields through research paper presentations, keynote addresses, workshops and cultural events. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was also Signed Between IIT Mandi and Art of Living Foundation on the Occination, which will Empower Joint research in the field of consciousness and mental health.

Confluence of Spirituality and Science


The conference began with a virtual inaugural address by Spiritual Guru and Art of Living Foundation Founder Sri Sri Ravishankar. He Said, “Today Science is also accepting that Spirituality has an important place in consciousness and mental health. Meditation, Satvik Foood and Pranayama Strengthen Conscious


Professor Laxmidhar Behera, Director, IIT Mandi and General Chair of the conference said, “Without consciousness, the body has no existence. Science and Self-Realization, which will pay the way for innovation and education inspired by Indian Knowledge Traditions. “


Giving Information About The Research Activities of the Center, Professor Arnab Bhaswar, Chairman of Iksmha Center, Said that recently ‘Sleep research lab’ has been started and collaboration is going on with drdo and Ministry of Ayush.


Subject Sessions and Cultural Programs


More than 110 research papers and 60 posters are being presented in the four-day conference. Topics Like Artificial Intelligence and Consciousness, Ayurvedic Psychiatry, Yoga and Meditation Therapy, Reincarnation Studies and Neuroimaging are eating disasseed in 12 Thematic Sessions.
