How to make Tomato Uttapam

Method to prepare the batter:

First of all, take semolina and curd in a bowl. Add water little by little to make a thick batter. Keep the batter covered for 10–15 minutes so that the semolina swells. Now add salt and Eno to it and mix lightly.

Preparation of Topping:

Mix chopped tomatoes, onions, green chillies and green coriander well in a plate. If you want, you can also add a little salt to it so that the topping remains tasty.

Method for making Uttapam:

Heat a non-stick pan and add a little oil. Pour a ladle of the prepared batter on the pan and spread it in a circular shape. Now spread the prepared topping evenly over it and press it lightly. Cover and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes so that the bottom side becomes golden.

Now flip it and cook the other side for 1 minute. Both sides should be crispy and soft from inside.

How to serve:

Serve tomato uttapam hot with coconut chutney, sambhar or tomato sauce. This dish is not only healthy but also filling.
