News India Live, Digital Desk: Yellow Alert: The monsoon has completely knocked in Uttarakhand and the continuous heavy rains continue in the state. Life has been disturbed in many places and people are facing huge difficulties. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a Yellow alert for four important districts of the state, allowing both the administration and the residents to take additional precautions.

Especially Pithoragarh, Champawat, Nainital and Bageshwar districts have expressed the possibility of extreme heavy rains, where the water level of rivers is rising rapidly. Due to the rainy water, there are incidents of landslides and falling rocks from place to place, which has disrupted many major routes. Traveling has become very risky at this time.

According to the latest information, the Banbasa-Champawat National Highway has to be closed due to landslides and debris in many places due to continuous heavy rains in Champawat. Similarly, the road is blocked at various places on the Tanakpur-Pithoragarh National Highway. Not only Champawat, but also in Almora and Udham Singh Nagar, rivers are in spate and there are reports of water accumulating on the bridges, which has made traffic difficult.

The Chardham Yatra route called the lifeline of Uttarakhand has also been affected by this rain. The water level of the Ganges river in Rishikesh is continuously increasing. Other important routes including Badrinath National Highway (NH-7) are also blocked at various places. Thousands of pilgrims and tourists are trapped in place due to the closure of roads, and many villages have been completely cut off from the rest of the world, where people are trapped and basic facilities have started to be shorted. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains for the next few days, which can make this challenge even more difficult. The State Disaster Management Department has appealed to all people to be vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel.
