News India Live, Digital Desk: A significant increase in Kovid-19 cases in India has been recorded, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), the number of active infections has increased to 3,758 by 1 June. This is the first major increase in months, 363 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
The most active Kovid-19 cases in the country are coming up in Kerala, where 1,400 patients are undergoing treatment. Maharashtra has 485 cases, while Delhi has 436 active cases. According to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Health, 64, 18 and 61 new cases were registered in these three states respectively in the last 24 hours.
Two deaths to Kovid were recorded in the country in the last 24 hours- one each in Kerala and Karnataka. In Karnataka, health officials confirmed the death of a 63-year-old man, with pulmonary tuberculosis, squamous cell carcinoma of Bukkal Mucosa and a casual covid-19 infection. In Kerala, a 24-year-old woman suffering from Kovid-19 succumbed due to complications arising from sepsis, high blood pressure and decompaceted chronic liver disease (DCLD).
Amid increasing cases of infection, the Karnataka government on Saturday issued a public advice in which people have been encouraged to adopt preventive measures. People have been urged to follow proper hygiene protocols to wear masks, maintain physical distance and prevent viruses in crowded areas.
The news of a death to Kovid has also been reported in Delhi. Officials confirmed the death of a 60 -year -old woman on Saturday. PTI quoted an official as saying, “The female was suffering from acute bowel obstruction after laparotomy. The detection of Kovid-19 was accidental.”
This latest growth has inspired health officials to be vigilant, although no nationwide ban has been announced yet.
