Patna: The process of teacher appointment in Bihar has now been taken an important step towards making more transparent and justified. The Education Department has implemented a new system of school-wise vacancy by making a big change in the posting process of teacher candidates under TRE-3 (Teacher Recruitment Exam-3). Work has been started under this new system in the entire state from Monday.


List will be made according to the need of teachers


Till now only information was given in schools that how many posts are vacant – such as three or four posts in a school. But it was not clear in this that how much women, men or disabled teachers are needed on these posts. Due to this, there was a lack of transparency in the posting process. Under the new system, every school will have to clarify how many women, men and disabled teachers are already employed there and how much is needed. This information will be uploaded on the portal, so that a list of classified vacancies can be prepared at the district level.


New portal ready, districts get instructions


The department has also developed a new portal for this process. All districts have been instructed to prepare a school -wise list of women, men and disabled teachers as per the requirements of their subordinate schools and upload it on the portal. This work has been started in all the districts including Muzaffarpur.


Women and disabled priority in nearby schools


Another major change in this process has been made that women and disabled candidates will be given priority to posting in schools near their residence. This is expected to provide great relief to the candidates of these classes.


There will be no posting in urban schools


However, posting of selected teachers under TRE-3 will not be done in schools in urban areas. The department has already locked the urban area vacancies on the portal. That is, teachers will be appointed only in rural and semi-urban areas under TRE-3.
