Katie Price has revealed she is considering buying a mobility scooter as she battles against a health condition.
The 46-year-old says she is due to see a surgeon as she struggles with pain in her feet. It has led Katie to consider investing in a pink mobility scooter to help her get around pain free.
The mum-of-five says she is also considering investing in a scooter for her own mother, Amy, who has been struggling with mobility issues after being diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a terminal lung condition. Katie says her mum often uses a wheelchair to get around.

Speaking on the Show, the former glamour model’s sister Sophie Price, revealed it takes around an hour to get Amy back home after a day out. She explained: “Yesterday I had to push her back from Cowes, all the way home, and it’s a good two miles back to mum’s house, it took me an hour. I said to mum, ‘Right, I think you just need to get one mum.’”
It prompted Katie, 46, to explain she wanted to contact a company that sells lightweight mobility scooters. She added: “I was thinking of getting in touch with this company to get both me one and mum one, but I’d want one in pink.”
When quizzed about her need for a mobility aid, the star responded: “Because if I have to walk far, my feet hurt and I’ve got to see the surgeon in May. I don’t know who's irritating me or if I need more cortisol, but I won’t know until May.
“If I do Alton Towers or something like that, sometimes my feet play up, when it’s a lot of walking. Doing this panto, although it’s good, at night my feet are creaky.”
Katie has been starring in the adults-only Easter pantomime Pinocchio in recent weeks. She has been appearing alongside the icon Bobby Davro.
Meanwhile Sophie went on to explain she thinks “it’s time” the pair finally convince their mum to take the plunge on a mobility scooter. She added: “I know she doesn’t want to admit it, but I think it does. I said to her, ‘Mum, when dad’s not here and you can’t get about as much, get on your scooter and go along the [Isle of Wight] seafront.”
Katie recently provided an update on her mum’s health as she revealed Amy is still ‘so switched on’. Although she admitted Amy has ‘good days and bad days’ as she battles with her IPF.
Talking to Amy in a previous podcast episode, she said: “I do feel you for you mum, because people have to understand what my mum's gone through, like her brain is just so active and still switched on. She can't do the things that she used to do, which is frustrating for her."
The former model continued: "Now here's an example, because I am a patient person but when my mother teases me and says let's go look at the shops in Isle of Wight, shall I take my walker or wheelchair and I'm like 'no we're taking your wheelchair because I'm not taking an hour'."
Katie explained Amy hopes she will be able to attend the this year. She added: “It's not doing me any good because I'm meant to walk to help myself."
